OTHER CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
In line with the associations mission to support members in crisis situations, the association
shall consider social obligations in the following situations:
▪ Death of a member
▪ Critical illness / injury of a member
In the event of a member facing a crisis situation, the executive shall investigate and evaluate
the facts of the event and shall proceed by either or a combination of the following methods
to raise funds to support the affected member:
▪ Equal contribution of a fixed contribution from each member
▪ Use from existing funds of the association
Should the Executive consider it necessary to propose any change to the Bylaws; or should not less
than ten (10) members express in writing to the Executive a desire for such a change, the Executive
at its discretion may:
▪ Consider such amendment at a General Meeting convened for that purpose.
▪ at least 7 days’ notice thereof having been given all members, detailing the reasons for the
meeting,
▪ Amendment shall be passed after simple majority vote by the general assembly.
▪ The Executive shall determine the amount of the annual membership registration fees each
year and that determination shall be ratified at the Annual General Meeting of the Association
and shall take effect as determined by the Executive.
▪ Annual memberships shall be due on the first day of January of each year. No member shall
be entitled, while any membership due or other sum due to the Association is more than three
(3) months in arrears to exercise any of the rights or privileges of membership including but
without being limited to the right to vote at General Meetings.
▪ Individuals or persons becoming members after 1st of January of any year shall be entitled to
pay a pro rata membership fee for the first year of membership.
▪ The Executive shall have the right at its discretion to raise, in special circumstances, levies
from members or other persons as they may determine provided that such determination shall
be ratified at the first General Meeting after that determination is made
All social media platforms managed by CAM-UAE HSE Group shall abide by the following rules:
▪ The main objective of the Association is to promote the interests of the Cameroonian HSE
professional based in the UAE.
▪ Joining this group automatically makes you an member of CAM UAE HSE which is an
association of Cameroonian HSE professionals in the UAE.
▪ The group is strictly for Cameroonians based in the UAE interested in the HSE or related
fields.
▪ Remember to be considerate and respectful to others
▪ Check the facts and only share information from reliable and dispassionate sources. Verify its
origin and stick to reliable sources such as governmental websites and other scientific
agencies.
▪ The group is not to be used to discuss non-HSE or related issues.
▪ Hate, porn, religion, politics, abuse, or discrimination related posts are strictly forbidden.
▪ Insults are forbidden in the Group.
▪ Any information that is meant to save the life of a person is acceptable to be shared in the
group, e.g. Blood Requirement, Emergences, etc.
▪ Academic and professional achievements of group members are acceptable to be shared in
the group, if relevant to HSE.
▪ Members shall not be allowed to share content in our group to external third parties without
prior authorization from the executive.
▪ By joining this group, you agree to these group rules.
▪ If there is a breach of any of the rules, the group administrators reserve the right to remove
the transgressor from the group.
